Our public finance professionals provide tax-exempt financing services for a diverse range of clients. Our corporate debt professionals provide senior, subordinated, and convertible debt products on both a public and private basis, and provide advisory services for debt restructurings, recapitalizations, and amendments.

William Blair & Company served as senior managing underwriter for a firm record volume of Illinois bond issues in 2007, completing 56 transactions that raised approximately $750 million for capital improvements and refunding purposes. Overall, we participated as senior manager, co-manager, structuring agent, financial advisor, or swap advisor in over 95 transactions, helping our public, educational, and nonprofit clients raise nearly $2 billion capital.
In 2007, our School District Team closed 34 school district financings for a total par amount of over $427 million. The team served as senior managing underwriter for the bonds.
Our Credit Tenant Lease Team successfully closed 12 transactions totaling about $105 million in 2007. William Blair & Company acted as financial advisor and placement agent on these financings and assisted in all aspects of the transactions.
Our Corporate Debt Team continues to be a leading resource for companies seeking debt capital. The team assisted companies in raising more than $1.6 billion in debt capital in 2007.
