William Blair & Company Ranked One of the Top 100 Money Managers in U.S.

Chicago, August 1, 2007 - William Blair & Company was ranked No. 93 in the II300, Institutional Investor’s annual ranking of America’s 300 largest money management firms by assets. The firm moved up seven places, from 100 to 93, from 2005 to 2006.

Total assets under management at the II300 firms increased 16.9% last year, to $31.1 trillion. Last year’s total growth rate was nearly double that of the 2005 rate. By comparison, William Blair & Company’s assets under management grew 27.4% last year, to $42.8 billion, almost twice the II300 growth rate. William Blair & Company ranked No. 39 in foreign equities, with close to $25 billion in assets under management.
