John L. Borovicka joins William Blair & Company's Public Finance Team CHICAGO, March 31, 2008 – William Blair & Company today announced that John L. Borovicka has joined the firm as a vice president in the investment banking group that serves the public and nonprofit sectors. Mr. Borovicka has substantial experience in the nonprofit and public finance arena, with more than 12 years working at the federal, state, county, and city levels of government, most recently served for five years as District Director and local political director for U.S. Congressman Rahm Emanuel. Mr. Borovicka also served as Deputy Campaign Director for Chicago Mayor Richard M. Daley’s successful 2007 re-election campaign. “We are very excited to have John join our team,” said Tom Lanctot, principal and head of public finance at William Blair & Company. “His skills are complementary to those of our established team members, and he is highly respected in the marketplace and community.” James D.
