Brett Paschke is the head of Equity Capital Markets at William Blair, responsible for leading the group that sources, structures, and executes public equity offerings. He assumed leadership of the group in 2009 and since that time the firm has made meaningful market share gains and has underwritten approximately 600 public equity offerings raising $140 billion for high quality growth companies and their shareholders. Mr. Paschke serves as chairman of William Blair’s equity commitment committee and is a member of the firm’s extended leadership group. He currently chairs the SIFMA capital markets committee on policy and regulation. He served on the U.S. Treasury Department’s IPO Task Force, which produced the recommendations that became the basis for the JOBS Act, streamlining the IPO process for emerging growth companies to help stimulate capital formation. Mr. Paschke is a frequent speaker, panelist, and media source on capital markets topics.

Mr. Paschke is a member of the Illinois Advisory Council for the Navy SEAL Foundation, which supports the needs of our Naval Special Operations warriors and their families. He is also on the board of governors for Lake Forest Open Lands, a land conservation and education organization. He has been an active alumnus and fundraiser for Princeton University. Mr. Paschke is a member of the Chicago Council on Global Affairs.

Mr. Paschke joined William Blair in 1997. Before joining William Blair, he worked in the investment banking division at Goldman Sachs, for KPMG, and for U.S. Congressman Ralph Regula of Ohio. While at KPMG, he spent three years working on privatization transactions in the former Soviet Union. Mr. Paschke has an A.B. from Princeton University, cum laude, and an MBA from the Harvard Business School, with honors. He lives in Lake Forest, Illinois with his wife and five children.
