Dan is a wealth advisor with William Blair’s Private Wealth
Management group. With the addition of Dan and his team, William Blair has expanded its private wealth management capabilities in the Bay Area. His
focus on attorneys and their complex needs brings an added level of specialty
to the firm.
Dan's background as a former prosecutor, his active service in the San Francisco
legal community, and his deep knowledge of wealth planning and investment
issues make him particularly knowledgeable about the many issues attorneys
face throughout their career: estate planning, insurance review, college
planning for children, and retirement planning are areas that require careful
review and strategic thinking. With nearly 20 years of experience, and the resources of William Blair, Dan is well-equipped to help his clients manage
their wealth and investment strategies.
Dan joined the firm from Wells Fargo Advisors and Merrill Lynch. Before
beginning his career in finance, he served as a prosecutor for the Cook County
State’s Attorney’s Office in Chicago. Dan is a member of the Bar Association
of San Francisco, is a member of the Marin County Estate Planning Council,
is a member of the San Francisco Estate Planning Council, and served as
the former co-chair of the Probate and Estate Planning Section of the Marin
County Bar Association and the former chair of the Chicago Bar Association’s
Financial Institutions Committee. He is a non-practicing licensed attorney
