William Blair investment counselor John Cultra was named by Barron’s magazine to its 2016 top 100 U.S. financial advisors.

Barron’s Top Advisor rankings are based on assets under management, client retention, regulatory record, annual revenue generated, length of time in the business and philanthropic work.

Cultra and his team have served families and institutions with wealth advisory and investment management services since 2006. He and his team – Sarah Clark, Terri Kwiecinski, Perry Mangione, Mark McKinley, Melissa Mendoza, Sarah Mercurio and Mike Wertz – have an average tenure of 23 years in the financial industry and 12 years at William Blair.

“This honor recognizes the commitment and continuity of John and his team in serving clients, keeping focused on long-term investment strategies through ever changing market conditions,” said John Brennan, head of Investment Counseling for William Blair.

“When clients’ needs change, the full team is intimately familiar with the nuances of the wealth management plan and well prepared to provide thoughtful, expert counsel,” Brennan said.

Cultra was also one of five William Blair advisors chosen by Barron’s earlier this year for its 2016 list of top financial advisors in Illinois. Dan Grant, and Tom Wilson were the other Blair advisors honored as among the top 60 advisors in Illinois.
