Ron Mitra’s client service model is based on a mutual understanding of objectives and expectations. Teaming up with William Blair’s Wealth Planning Services, Ron first listens to his clients to identify their needs, level of risk tolerance, and time horizon to develop a comprehensive financial plan. Using William Blair’s proprietary equity research, Ron constructs and manages balanced portfolios that reflect his clients’ goals and objectives. Ron has a strong understanding of how the financial markets function and invaluable insight into income generation. One area of specialization is in assessing risk (default risk, extreme equity market declines, concentration risk, and interest rate risk) and recommending ways to hedge these risks.
Prior to joining William Blair in 2014, Ron served as an executive director in fixed income institutional sales at Morgan Stanley. He was responsible for developing and maintaining the relationship between the firm and some of the largest financial institutions in the United States, including mutual funds, banks, and insurance companies.
