About Jim

Jim White, partner, is a senior institutional business development representative at William Blair Investment Management. He covers consultant relations and institutional business development for the Midwest and Southeast U.S. regions. Jim also leads coverage of senior leadership and field consultants at key global consulting firms in the U.K. and Ireland. Before joining the firm in 2010, he was U.S. head of consultant relationship management at UBS Global Asset Management, servicing consulting organizations focused on global asset allocation, global equities, global bonds, alternative assets, and specific asset-class mandates. Previously, Jim was the head of the SMU Chicago-area fundraising campaign and a member of the SMU parent leadership committee. Before that, he was a member of the American Youth Soccer Organization’s board of directors for 15 years. Jim received a B.F.A. in journalism, with a focus on advertising and public relations, and a B.A. in political science from Southern Methodist University, and an M.B.A., with a concentration in finance, marketing, and organizational behavior, from Northwestern University Kellogg School of Management.
