About Matt
Matthew Fleming, CFA, is the head of the U.S. value equity team at William Blair Investment Management. He is also a portfolio manager for the firm’s Small Cap Value, Mid Cap Value and Small-Mid Cap Value strategies and a research analyst focusing on the industrials and utilities sectors. Before joining the firm in 2021, Matt was a member of the small- to mid-cap value equity teams at ICM. Previously, he was a senior research analyst at PNC Capital Advisors/Mercantile Capital Advisors. Before that, Matt held various roles at GB Asset Advisors, Triumph Group, and BT Alex. Brown/Deutsche Bank AG. He received a B.A. in history from Princeton University.
