About Matt
Matt Kelly is a wealth advisor with William Blair Private Wealth Management. He works with high net worth individuals, families, and businesses to help them achieve their financial objectives. He first joined the firm as an advisor consultant with William Blair’s Investment Management. He previously worked at Nuveen in distribution, and at Icarus Investments at the Chicago Board of Trade as a derivatives trader.
Matt is a graduate of The University of Virginia, where he was a Division I athlete, a four-year starter on the school’s national championship lacrosse team, and a recipient of the Thomas Rixey Scholarship. In his spare time, he coaches lacrosse at Mount Carmel High School.
Matt serves on the Auxiliary Board at Lincoln Park Zoo and the associate boards of Over the Rainbow, OWLS, and WITS, supporting housing for the physically disabled and youth development and literacy programs in Chicago.
He lives in Lincoln Park with his wife and enjoys history, coaching, and spending time with his family.
