Bobby Hoffman is a wealth advisor with the Rule Hoffman team in William Blair’s Private Wealth Management group. He has more than 15 years of multi-asset-class investment experience managing family office, foundation, and endowment capital. Before joining William Blair, Bobby served as chief investment officer and principal and portfolio manager, respectively, at two single-family offices, where he was responsible for investing across the capital structure in public and private companies. Earlier in his career, he worked in finance roles at hedge fund D.E. Shaw & Co., Intel, and IBM.
Bobby serves on the boards of The Agnew Company and Larix Partners, is on the advisory board to the University of Chicago Shultz Innovation Fund, is a member of the education advisory group for the CFA Society of Chicago, and has guest lectured at Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management and the University of Illinois Gies College of Business.
Bobby earned his M.B.A. with honors from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business with concentrations in economics and statistics. He studied at the London School of Economics and holds a B.S. with high honors from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business with concentrations in accounting and finance. He earned the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and is an active member of both the CFA Institute and CFA Society of Chicago.
