Alex Scull advises high-net-worth individuals and their families on holistic investment strategies. He works closely with the firm’s wealth planners to offer clients guidance on financial planning, strategic asset allocation, trusts and estates planning, lending, impact investing, and philanthropy. He actively manages portfolios with the goal of making them tax-sensitive and strives to optimize risk across global equities, fixed income, and alternatives.
Prior to William Blair, Alex worked in investment banking at Crédit Agricole and investment management at Goldman Sachs. He also has experience as an entrepreneur in the hospitality industry as a partner in the sale of a startup.
Alex received his M.B.A. from Duke University and his B.S. from Boston College. He serves in both alumni chapters and volunteers locally through Big Shoulders Fund and PAWS Chicago. Alex frequently travels up the east coast but calls Lincoln Park home with his wife and their dog.
