Ms. Cummings is a vice president and wealth advisor with William Blair’s
Boston Wealth Management team. Her responsibilities include portfolio and wealth
management for individuals and institutions, asset allocation and security selection,
and research and economic analysis.
Before joining William Blair, Ms. Cummings was the director of fixed income and
a portfolio manager at Boston Private Bank & Trust Company. She was a member of the firm's
investment policy committee, asset allocation committee, and asset liability committee.
Ms. Cummings managed the bank's portfolio and has managed both taxable and tax-exempt
fixed-income mutual funds. Previously, Ms. Cummings worked at BankBoston,
Shearson Lehman Brothers, and Boston Five Cents Savings Bank.
Ms. Cummings received an M.S. in finance from the Carroll School of Management at Boston College and a B.B.A. from the Isenberg School of Management at University of Massachusetts Amherst. Ms. Cummings is a member of the CFA Institute, the CFA Society of Boston, and the Boston Economic Club. She also serves as a trustee and vice chair of the board for the New England Home for the Deaf.
