About Joe

Joe Pucci is a private wealth advisor in the New York office of William Blair’s Private Wealth Management group. He advises wealthy individuals, families, executives, and business owners on how to best balance risk and reward in the capital markets. Joe brings his experience as a Fortune 100 executive and an entrepreneurial CEO to his clients as they navigate the arc of their business plan, including start-up, growth, exit planning (IPO, ESOP, or sale), and structuring compensation for key management staff.

Before joining William Blair, Joe was Principal in Alliance Bernstein’s private wealth group for a dozen years. His previous experience includes tenure at Prudential Financial and a decade at GE Capital; he also founded a management consulting firm supporting business development and marketing of new ventures and product launches.

Joe is active in several professional and community organizations. He currently serves as the founding president of the New York chapter of the Exit Planning Exchange (XPX) and recently served as president of the Westport Library Board of Trustees leading a $20mm capital raise and a complete gut renovation. He also is an active member in the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG) and the Estate Planning Council of New York City. He previously served on the board of directors of the Connecticut Food Bank and the Westport Arts Center.

Joe earned an M.B.A. with honors from Columbia Business School and a B.S., cum laude, in leadership and finance from the University of Colorado, Boulder. In his free time, Joe enjoys yoga, cycling, skiing, learning to surf and spending time with family and friends.
