Adaptations to Chipotle’s marketing and menu strategy appear to be making inroads with customers, according to many Wall Street analysts, including William Blair research analyst Sharon Zackfia.
“We expect restaurant-level margin expansion to resume in the third and fourth quarters on leverage associated with a return to positive comps and the full recapture of Chipotle’s 60-basis-point investment in portion sizes (more than half recaptured as of late April),” Zackfia wrote in a note to investors that was cited by the publication.
