William Blair today announced that Alethia Young has initiated coverage of 13 biotechnology companies, marking the next step in the firm’s continued expansion of its biotech offering.

Young joined William Blair in May 2026 as part of a broader investment in the firm’s equities platform. With 25 years of experience across biotechnology and healthcare, she brings a perspective shaped by roles on both Wall Street and within the industry, most recently as chief financial officer of Bicycle Therapeutics.

Young’s initial coverage spans 13 biotechnology companies: Ascentage Pharma Group (AAPG), Cytokinetics (CYTK), Edgewise Therapeutics (EWTX), Faeth Therapeutics (FTH), IDEAYA Biosciences (IDYA), Immunome (IMNM), Kardigan (KARD), Palvella Therapeutics (PVLA), Arcus Biosciences (RCUS), Revolution Medicines (RVMD), Rhythm Pharmaceuticals (RYTM), Tango Therapeutics (TNGX), and Wave Life Sciences (WVE).

Her inaugural research focuses on several themes shaping opportunities across biotechnology, including precision cardiovascular therapies, emerging commercial-stage biotechnology companies, and innovation targeting RAS-driven cancers.
