William Blair was named to the 2023 Vault Banking 25 list, released January 25, recognizing the top 25 North American investment banks for excellence.
William Blair ranked ninth overall, receiving top-5 ratings in 18 categories.
The rankings were based on a Vault banking survey conducted last fall. More than 2,800 banking professionals responded, rating their firms on a combination of quality life factors—culture, satisfaction, compensation, business outlook, work-life balance, training—along with their views of the firm’s prestige relative to peers.

Best Investment Banking Internship List
William Blair was also ranked fourth in Vault’s Best Investment Banking Internship list of the nation’s highest-rated internship programs.
The firm’s 10-week intern program provides students exposure to a variety of transaction types, including mergers and acquisitions, public equity offerings, and private equity placements.
The list, which was released in November 2022, was based on a survey of thousands of current and former interns about their internship programs, with the 2023 rankings reflecting the results of a survey conducted in the summer of 2022.
